Reservoir Run

Each Fall a group of Juniors support the Lafayette Reservoir Run by helping at the early morning registration tables. The annual event is a favorite for resident families and benefits all of the schools in the Lafayette School District and Acalanes High School.

The run is on Sunday, October 25th 2009

Breast Cancer Support

Lafayette Juniors sew approximately 250 heart-shaped pillows per year, delivering them to local breast cancer centers. Comfort pillows provide relief to women with breast cancer. The pillows slide under the arm, easing pain following surgery.

Senior Support

Juniors write greeting cards to our local seniors at holiday times throughout the year. For some recipients, this may be the only personal mail they receive.

Blanket Program

Lafayette Juniors hand make and distribute blankets to children in Contra Costa County who are in transition of leaving their homes and entering foster care.

Lafayette Tot Lot/Parks and Recreation Clean-Up

Our membership gathers together to help maintain the Lafayette Community Center Tot Lot park. Juniors bring rakes, brooms, shovels, wheel barrows, work gloves and muscle power to provide this wonderful service to our youngest community members.

Gift Drive with VESTIA

Juniors provide holiday gifts fulfilling the specific wishes of teens/children in foster care within Contra Costa County.
