About The Lafayette Juniors/Beneficiaries
Chartered in 1953, The Lafayette Juniors is a nonprofit organization created to support Lafayette and surrounding communities. Becoming a member of the Lafayette Juniors is a wonderful way to meet and get to know women like yourself in the Lafayette community. Our main objective is to not only raise money for local charities, but to have fun doing so alongside fellow members. We host two major fundraising events each year starting with the fabulous Rummage Sale in the Fall and the popular Annual Lafayette Kitchen Tour held in May.
Through the years our fundraising efforts have raised over $200,000 for local charities and community projects. Other events include volunteering at the Lafayette Reservoir Run, sauce parties where we make peppermint bark and other scrumptious treats (all money raised goes to charity), making pillows for breast cancer survivors and fleece blankets for foster children and much more. Also we love to get together socially for family and couples parties.
We welcome you to join us at our general meeting to see what we are all about. We meet on the first Thursday of every month during the school year and have a social hour before each meeting.
Please contact Membership Chair Rosylyn Stenzel at stenzel917@gmail.com for more details.
Thank you for your interest in Lafayette Juniors.

In addition to our major and minor beneficiaries, many organizations benefit from the generous number of hours given by our members.
For seniors, members hand write cards for Senior Helpline Services which are distributed at each holiday.
For breast cancer patients, hundreds of heart-shaped comfort pillows are hand-sewn and donated to local hospital for breast cancer surgical patients.
For foster children/teens, numerous knit or hand-knotted fleece blankets are given to VESTIA which distributes the blankets to children recently removed from their homes. Holiday gifts are also purchased by our membership and distributed to the children in need.
For the community, many hours are dontated to help clean and maintain our local parks as well as helping staff local fundraising events.
